Carne Asada
Mexican-style grilled skirt steak
INGREDIENTS
Skirt steak - 1-1/2 to 2 lbs
Marinade
Garlic, minced - 2 tbsp (or 8 cloves, crushed)
Cilantro, finely chopped - 1/2 cup
(Optional) Jalapeno - 1, seeded and diced
Lime juice - 1/4 cup
Orange juice - 1/4 cup
Substitute: White vinegar 1 tbsp + mirin 1 tbspSalt - 1/2 tsp
Black pepper - 1/2 tsp
Chili powder (or cayenne pepper) - 1/4 tsp
Cumin, ground - 1 tsp
Oregano, dried - 1 tsp
Soy sauce - 1/4 cup
Olive oil - 1/4 cup
DIRECTIONS
For best results, marinade the skirt steak 1 day in advance.
